Biography
As the Policy Manager, Zachary Sheldon collaborates with the Policy and Partnerships team to represent The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts’ priorities in front of state and federal legislators and administrative officials. Zachary focuses on environmental funding and bond legislation, biodiversity and land conservation policy.
He represents the chapter with partner organizations through coalitions and direct partnerships. Zachary also serves as the main liaison to the Massachusetts’ federal delegation in Congress, collaborating with TNC’s North America Policy and Government Relations Team to advance our national priorities.
Zachary owes his interest in conservation to his wildlife biologist grandfather, who inspired him to earn a B.S. in wildlife conservation at Virginia Tech. Zachary has worked in environmental policy for more than a decade, including time with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and The Nature Conservancy in Virginia.
