Our Career Areas

• Business Strategy Consulting

  Primarily Program Management and Project Management focused.  Responsibilities include assisting business units manage programs and projects by creating operational efficiencies and offering consultative services.  Activities include identifying problems, offering recommendations, and implementing solutions.  Servicing internal clients in all functional areas of the organization.    

• Conservation

  Provides services related to operation, maintenance, and preservation of all TNC property, including preserves, lands, equipment, and facilities. Provides management of environmental and safety programs that protect the environment and provide safe conditions at preserves. Positions in this group may require technical knowledge and ability of trades, crafts, or manual labor.  
  

• Development

  Identify, cultivate, solicit, recognize, and steward prospects and donors to create and nurture relationships and raise resources to advance our mission. 

• Executive

  Responsible for providing strategic leadership for the organization to establish long-range strategic goals, plans and policies for optimal organizational success. 

• External Affairs

  Provide planning and support to policy change, corporate practices, and innovations in conservation finance.   They also provide planning and services to support effective communication between the organization and the public in order to advance our mission.  

• Finance & Accounting

  Conducts financial and accounting operations for the organization.  Areas of responsibility include management, maintenance, and reporting of financial data, investment of general financial assets, management and disposition of non-financial assets, enterprise-wide accounting and financial reporting, management of audits, management of TNC’s global banking network, financial information systems and other areas. 

• General Management

  Support the administration and execution of the organization’s human resources.  Activities include the development of human resource standard operating procedures and policies, human resource strategic management in support of business needs. 

• Legal

  Ensure that the organization complies with legal and regulatory requirements and provides legal counsel to TNC.  

  Activities include providing counsel/support including real estate, corporate and tax, litigation, transactions, compliance, intellectual property, employment/labor, ethics, contracts and grants, etc. This job family includes a safety office. 

• Marketing

  Provide a framework and services to support both internal and external effective communication between TNC and the public in order to advance the organization’s mission. Establishes a consistent and recognizable brand to ensure continuity of communication and increased recognition. 

• Operations

  Provides a wide variety of administrative and general business support to various BU’s. Positions manage, designs, and/or supports administrative processes that support operational objectives. 

• Science

  They design, manage, conduct, and/or support research in areas of science, agriculture, conservation, etc. Positions may deploy and manage resources, assess and report on outcomes, and implement practical biodiversity and climate solutions around the world to advance our mission.
