We know that conservation is a long-term proposition, and The Nature Conservancy will be here to see it through. We invite you to join us.

TNC is here to be your philanthropic partner and a steward for your legacy. Over the past seven decades, we’ve grown from humble roots to become one of the most effective and wide-reaching environmental organizations in the world. Our successes are only possible because of supporters like you who share this vision.

Leaving a gift in your will or trust is one of the most popular ways of giving to TNC. In fact, legacy gifts make up more than 20% of the funds we raise each year. As a Legacy Club member, your gift will help protect the places you love for generations to come.

Many Reasons to Give. Many Ways to Give.

“IT’S THE IDEA OF REPAIRING THE WORLD” (2:17) Emily has been a member of TNC since 1984, and her extensive gardens are her pride and joy. As a member of The Legacy Club, Emily has donated her home and gardens to TNC so they can be a catalyst for the continued protection of nature for others.

With a gift in your will or trust or by beneficiary designation, you’ll enjoy the following:

  • You retain control of your assets during your lifetime.
  • You can provide for loved ones and for a cause important to you.
  • There is no minimum gift; you can leave a gift of any size.
  • You may realize estate tax savings or reduce tax burdens for your heirs.
  • You can make your gift in honor or memory of someone special who inspired your love of nature.

You can make a legacy gift through your retirement account, your will or living trust, or many other assets, including real estate. No matter the size, these gifts do remarkable things for our world.

“YOU FEEL LIKE YOU’RE DOING SOMETHING FOR OTHERS” (2:45) Peggy and Jon W. first met as college students, where they studied biology and spent summers canoeing together. Their choice to become Legacy Club members was guided by their desire to protect our planet’s abundant nature for their children, grandchildren and many others.

Being a part of The Legacy Club is one of the most creative ways to ensure TNC has a legacy as well. We're very grateful for those who think of us.
