
About Climate Week NYC
Climate Week NYC brings together leaders from business, academia, government, civil society and the climate sector for the largest annual climate event of its kind—hosting hundreds of events and activities across New York City. Each year, these leaders and decision makers from around the world gather to drive and champion climate action.
From September 21–28, 2025, Climate Week NYC participants from across the globe will gather under this year’s theme, Power On, to spark progress and inspire change.
The Nature Conservancy is proud to be part of these vital conversations and events—sharing science, solutions and stories that illustrate how people and nature can thrive together in the face of climate change.

Title: Turning Collaboration into Impact: The Mangrove Breakthrough Implementation Agenda
Description: Join us to learn about the progress and momentum of the Mangrove Breakthrough in the lead-up to COP30. This session will feature updates on how the initiative is driving political, financial, and technical action, as well as the launch of the Global Mangrove Alliance’s (GMA) Regional Readiness Reports. The program will include a multi-stakeholder panel with government leaders, financial institutions, the private sector, and local communities sharing concrete examples of implementation.

Title: Financing the Forest Agenda: Actions to Scale Proven and Profitable Solutions
Description: Halting and reversing deforestation by 2030 is a global imperative—and the financial sector is stepping up. This high-level session at New York Climate Week will mark the official launch of the Priority Actions for Forest Finance, a civil society-led roadmap outlining the key steps policymakers, financial institutions, and central banks must take to meet global goals and regenerate forests. This compliments the growing architecture to support the financial sector meet global goals around halting and reversing deforestation and conversion.
The event will be chaired by Nigel Topping, Founder of Ambition Loop and Chair of the UK Climate Change Committee and feature senior leaders from government, finance, and civil society, including:

Title: Beauty that Regenerates the World: Ingredients for a Net-zero, Nature-positive, and Equitable Future
Description: Consumer pressure and the shift towards net-zero and nature-positive commitments are reshaping how beauty and personal care products are made. Yet, for brands looking to integrate regeneratively-produced raw materials into their products, the path from ambition to action remains complex. Ingredient Insets—raw materials embedded with environmental impact within supply chains—offers a powerful solution. But its implementation at scale requires radically new forms of collaboration and transparency.
The beauty and personal care industry continues to emerge as a champion for investing in regeneration beyond climate. Forested and The Nature Conservancy are co-hosting a roundtable to convene leaders across the beauty and personal care industry, regenerative agriculture, and nature-based solutions.
