Make a Difference
Nature needs everyone! Join us for a volunteer work day on a nearby nature trail or check out one of the many other ways to get involved with TNC in Rhode Island.
Volunteer Projects in Rhode Island
Volunteering can be as easy as taking a walk in the woods! Stop by your favorite TNC preserve once a month and report back on trail conditions. Your feedback helps keep our preserves safe for all. Contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can accommodate groups of up to 8 volunteers for trail work days at our preserves. If your company is interested in a community service project or team-building day in nature, let us know! Contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Oyster Shell Recycling
Volunteers collect oyster shells from participating restaurants once a week and deliver them to our shell recycling center in West Kingston. Sealed buckets provided. Volunteers must provide their own transportation and be able to lift 30 pounds. Contact email@example.com.
Shorebird Program (April – August)
Help represent TNC at oyster festivals, music festivals, local breweries and other outreach events across the state. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Enjoy taking photographs or short videos outside? Join a community of volunteer photographers who share their talents to help capture our nature preserves, habitat restoration projects and the people we serve. We'll share them on social media, in our newsletters and much more! Contact email@example.com.
