Biography

Dan Goulart is the Environmental Project Manager for The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts. In this role, he collaborates with the Coastal Team to implement sustainable solutions that restore vital habitats and build community resilience. Dan's work is centered on projects that support sustainable aquaculture and the restoration of important coastal ecosystems, including saltmarshes, eelgrass beds and oyster reefs.

Dan joined The Nature Conservancy in November 2024, following a three-year tenure at the Buzzards Bay Coalition. There, he managed a watershed-scale restoration project and played a key role in clean water advocacy efforts. Dan holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability and has earned graduate certificates in Sustainable Cities and Sustainable Food Systems from the Harvard Extension School.

Before transitioning into environmental management, Dan served abroad as a Navy SEAL for over 30 years, bringing a wealth of leadership and strategic planning experience to his current role.

A South Coast native with deep ties to the ocean, Dan enjoys ocean paddling, surfing and sailing in Buzzards Bay with his family.
