Biography
Jaina Moan has over eighteen years of experience working in a broad range of environmental fields including as a scientist, environmental program manager, non-profit administrator, and director. She currently holds the position of external affairs director and climate action lead for The Nature Conservancy in Nevada and is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jaina has previously worked as an executive director for the Friends of Gold Butte, an executive assistant to the director and human resources manager for the Museum of Northern Arizona, and as program manager for the Coconino County Sustainable Economic Development Initiative.
Prior to her non-profit career, Jaina worked for six years as a research specialist at the Colorado Plateau Analytical Lab, an environmental chemistry laboratory located at Northern Arizona University.
Jaina holds a Master’s in public administration and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and biology from Northern Arizona University. She is passionate about finding solutions to achieving sustainable land and water conservation for both people and the environment.
