Biography
James E. Page, Jr. is The Nature Conservancy's Chief Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer. As the director of TNC’s global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion office, Page focuses efforts on creating solutions at the intersection of diversity, culture, climate, inclusion, and equity. This work is in alignment with the organization’s goals to create a world where people and nature thrive.
During his career, Page has worked to develop and implement various diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, promote ethics and diversity at global organizations, and addressed challenges and opportunities related to workforce diversity.
Page began his career at Dell, Inc., first as an engineering manager and then as a senior manager for diversity, ethics, privacy, and compliance. Following his time at Dell, Inc., Page built on his expertise and leadership within the academic and healthcare industries. He has held senior positions at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, DaVita, Inc., Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Vanderbilt University. In addition, he provided strategic counsel to TNC’s New York Chapter on strategic diversity, equity and inclusion alignment, cultural humility, and navigating and mitigating institutional bias and racism.
In his free time, Page is an avid runner, enjoys camping and spending time outdoors with his family, reading, and enjoys cooking. A native of Indianapolis, IN, Page is the oldest of 5 boys, and has numerous foster brothers whom his parents have raised and welcomed into their home.
