How Does Your Renewal Protect Nature?

You’re at the heart of our critical, on-the-ground conservation and effective advocacy. Step by step, renewed support helped accomplish important wins like these that were years in the making:

  • Ocean Protection

Almost a third of the Seychelles’ oceans (an area larger than Germany!) will now be protected from unregulated exploitation. AND we’ve identified 20 countries where replicating this strategy would save millions more square kilometers of ocean.

  • Wildlife Habitat

Connecting the northern and southern Appalachians, we secured a 1,276-acre stretch of land critical for black bears, bobcats and migratory birds—part of our overall goal of protecting 15,000 acres of the Kittatinny Ridge in the next few years.

  • Public Lands

After years of advocacy and 2.73 million messages to Congress from TNC members, Congress passed the Great American Outdoors Act, which fully and permanently funded the Land and Water Conservation Fund—the U.S.’s most successful conservation program.
